About Ovelit Resume
A resume builder that is actually free, keeps your data on your device, and is built to help you get interviews.
Why it exists
Writing a resume is stressful enough without a paywall at the end of it. Many “free” builders let you spend an hour on your resume and then ask for a subscription to download it, cap you at one version, or keep the useful checks for paying customers. We think the basics of getting a job should not cost money.
How it is different
- Everything is free: 137 templates, unlimited resumes, unlimited PDF and Word downloads, no watermark.
- No account. Your resumes are stored in your own browser, and you can export them at any time.
- Honest guidance: checks that explain what is wrong and how to fix it, not just a score.
- Open formats: back up as JSON, or import and export the open JSON Resume format.
How it is built
Ovelit Resume is a static web app: your browser does all the work, so there is no server holding your data. PDFs are produced by your browser’s own print engine, which keeps the text real and selectable — what applicant tracking systems read.
It is part of Ovelithub, a set of small, free, privacy-respecting tools.
